European rafting championship

Val di Sole | from 01.06.2010 to 06.06.2010

From 1st to 6th June Val di Sole hosts the European rafting championship. The teams with 4 or 6 members will challenge each other on the rapids of river Noce on special inflatable boats. Descents, jumps and action are the most important ingredients of this awaited event.

A sport week with many different rafting competitions: sprint, slalom, head 2 head (with two rafts facing the same descent) and Downriver, the longest and the most demanding descent (almost an hour) between Ossana and Caldes.

With the European Rafting championship Val di Sole confirms its major role in water sports. In fact, the Noce river is an excellent location, with 28 km of length and rapids up to grade 5, where it is possible to do rafting, canoe and kayak, also at an international level, as it is confirmed by the 1993 World Championship.
