Christmas Market in Trento

From 19th November to 30th December, Trento will host the well-known Christmas market in the suggestive Piazza Fiera. About 500.000 visitors come every year to admire the 70 wooden houses, exhibiting various products. Furthermore, as usual there will be typical food, exhibitions and other events.

The exhibitors of the Christmas Market in Trento come from Trentino, South Tyrol and different regions in the North of Italy: this proves the importance acquired by the market in the last years. Here you will find a broad range of craftmade products, such as Christmas decorations, candles, cribs, pictures with pressed flowers, but also an excellent gift packaging service, as well as 16 houses with the Market flavors, a real gourmet paradise where you can taste sweet and salty specialties from Trentino and South Tyrol, such as Tortel de patate, Cevap from Valle dei Mocheni, Knödeln (dumplings) and pastries, to eat with hot chocolate, mulled wine or Parampampoli.

Not to miss:

• Christmas Markets in Trento with special historical direct train: you can avoid traffic jam and parking problems catching this electrical train dating back to the 60s, taking you directly to Trento from Milano Lambrate, Bergamo and Brescia. Departures on 20th and 27th November, 4th and 18th December. Only by reservation.
• Stars and stalls, comets and three wise men: admire the crib animals at the Tridentine Museum of Natural Sciences.
• The night of the alembics, in S. Massenza, 20 minutes away from Trento. Here you will also find the Market of Marvels, from 3rd to 18th December.
• Typical Christmas menu in the city's restaurants.
