Snowboarding and skiing on the Tonale Pass

Here you can ski the whole year round, basking in the sun at an altitude of 3000 m. We are on the Tonale Pass, favourite destination of skiers and snowboarders, who can have fun on 100 km of perfectly snow covered slopes. The feathers in its cap are the many activities for snowboarders and the Paradiso black trail. On the other hand, summer is the perfect season for hiking.

The Tonale Pass, in the municipality of Vermiglio, connects the Province of Trentino to the Region of Lombardia and divides the Val di Sole valley to Valle Camonica valley. It is a sunny plain where you can ski from the end of autumn to late spring, or even in summer on the glacier. Expert skiers shouldn’t miss a descent on the Paradiso black trail, that made the history of Alpine skiing, and on the ski cross slope, one of the longest in the Alps.

The ski area is used as training ground by champions of Alpine and cross-country skiing, but it offers also slopes for beginners. The two snowboard parks are a true delight for all snowboarders, who can take part to Power days, a funny free style event taking place at the end of the ski season. Moreover, the pass is connected to the Ponte di Legno-Temù ski area in Lombardia. Many are the après ski activities for young people and the shows enlivening your holiday on the Tonale Pass: shops, bars, pizzerie. The tourist offer is completed by cross-country skiing trails, a kindergarten, rental shops, ski schools and dog sledding tours. On the Tonale Pass there is also a training center for jobs related to the mountain environment, and in summer you can, in addition to skiing, go for hikes and mountain bike tours, using the lift facilities if you want: breathtaking are the ascents to the lakes of the Presena glacier bed, to the Presanella Group, to the Paradiso Pass, and to the peaks of the Albiolo Mountain, battlefield of the First World War. You could also visit the ossuary dedicated to the fallen of the First World War, erected in 1924, and the hospice of the church of San Bartolomeo.
