Known as the Pearl of the Dolomites, Madonna di Campiglio is the queen of winter sports. With state of the art lift facilities, always perfectly groomed ski runs of every level surrounded by a breathtaking landscape, excellent accommodation facilities and a lively highlife, Madonna di Campiglio is with good reason one of the best ski resorts of the Dolomites. Connected with the ski center of Folgarida Marilleva, it has some of the most famous ski runs in the world, like the 3Tre – Miramonti, where every year the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup takes place. Alpine skiing and snowboarding are the main sports practiced here, and the many ski schools have professional instructors and FIS trainers specialized in every discipline, from ski carving to telemark skiing, from freeride to freestyle. There are also special lessons for kids and disabled, and pro ski training lessons.
Snowboarding has always been popular in Madonna di Campiglio. The Ursus Snowpark, considered one of the best in Europe, is perfect for snowboarders who love free style and periodically hosts international competitions and shows. If you prefer cross-country skiing, in Campo Carlo Magno you will find FIS certified trails included in the SuperNordicSkipass winding through the wonderful landscapes of the nature reserve of the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta. Kids have at their disposal school camps and ski kindergartens to learn how to ski while having fun, like Campilandia in Campo Carlo Magno.

More than skiing

Madonna di Campiglio offers a lot of activities beside skiing and snowboarding: snowshoeing, ski mountaineering in Cima Roma and in the Val Gelada valley, winter walks in the nature reserve of the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta, skiing on the frozen surface of the lake, dog sledding and ice climbing on the Nambrone, Vallesinella and Nardis waterfalls.

New: in winter 2010/2011 the new ski area will be inaugurated. The Campiglio Express, a 8-seater cableway going from Doss del Sabion to Patascoss will connect the two resorts of Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo. Thus the three resorts of Madonna di Campiglio, Pinzolo and Folgarida Marilleva will form a single ski area, for a total of no less than 150 km of connected ski runs! On Doss del Sabion there will be also a new ski run, the DoloMitica, with two variations, an easy one and a more difficult one.
