Cross-country skiing in Rovereto and on the Brentonico Plateau
From Rovereto you can easily reach the Brentonico Plateau, a ski area with trails of every level for both Alpine and cross-country skiing, favourite destination for beginners, but also for pro skier who come here during their training season.
The cross-country skiing center of San Giacomo has trails of different levels and is perfect for beginners, who will have at their disposal a practice slope and skilled and professional instructors. Expert skiers will surely enjoy the Baronessa Salvotti, a 4 km long FIS certified trail hosting many important competitions. Other interesting trails are the 8 km long Mortigola and the 5 km long Silvio Mozzi. The trails are groomed with modern snow-grooming machines and run through breathtaking landscapes immersed in the nature.
Polsa has a 3 km long trail and on the San Valentino Pass there is a wonderful high altitude trail from where you can admire the highest peaks of the Baldo Mountain.
