Pleasant relax at Levico Lake
We are in Valsugana, a wonderful area in the South of Trentino, a peace and wellness oasis with 2 fabulous lakes: the Levico lake and the Caldonazzo lake. The valley is surrounded by the Lagorai chain and by the Panarotta mountain, with the ski area Panarotta 2000 featuring 18 km ski runs. We reach the Hotel Al Sorriso Greenpark, located on the shore of the Levico lake, a wonderful expanse of water with its beaches and its luxuriant vegetation, whose beauty is compared to that of a Norwegian fjord. Close to the hotel you can find the centre of Levico, with the thermal spa, where arthrorheumatic, dermatologic and respiratory diseases can be healed, as well as the Hapsburg historical park, where interesting events such as the Christmas markets and Ortiinparco take place all the year round.
The Hotel Al Sorriso Greenpark is surrounded by a 20.000 sqm-broad park. We are struck by the beautiful front garden, which is perfectly integrated in the surrounding natural environment, as well as by the stone turret on the side of the building.
Entering the hotel, we are welcomed by Mrs. Bommassar, who waits for us at the reception with a young boy, his son. Both are very kind: they explain us how the hotel is structured, and we get some information about the different amusement opportunities.
Before having lunch, we decide to go for a walk in the surroundings of the hotel, and we discover the numerous sport facilities: tennis court, trim trail, bowls, giant chess game and free mountain bike rental service. In the front garden there are deckchairs and beach umbrellas, so that we can enjoy the first rays of the spring sun, while children have fun in the near playground.
We stay in the double room with a balcony overlooking the lake of Levico. The room is very cosy and features all comforts: we also find soft bathrobes and sponge slippers.
The hotel also features other kinds of rooms. All of them are equipped with an antiallergic wood floor: Suites, Family rooms composed by 2 communicating rooms, ideal for families with children, and Family classic rooms, with double bed and single or bunk bed.
The restaurant offers every day 3 menus with a choice of refined Trentine and Italian dishes, always prepared using fresh products; in the centre of the dining room you will always find a rich salad buffet as well as a wide range of desserts. The maître is at our disposal and gives us advice about the best Trentine wine to have with our meal.
“Well begun is right done” here at the Hotel Al Sorriso: the breakfast offers an international buffet with many delicacies.
After eating and having rest listening to the twittering birds, we go towards the quietness of the Wellness Center, where we are welcomed by Mrs. Nunzia, the hotel’s beautician, who guides us trough the 700 sq m relax area. The swimming pool with upstream device, geyser and whirl bench is lit by the natural light, thanks to the big glass walls, from which we can admire the adjoining wonderful park and lakes. We visit the “Thermarium” area, where we start our relax path beginning with the steam bath, laconicum and Finnish sauna alternated with fresh showers melt with essences and the Kneipp path. We spend pleasant relax moments in the relax corner, lying on the benches while we drink a tisane.
Our itinerary is completed in the “cradles of the King”, water mattresses whose temperature is constantly kept at 37°C: the relaxing music in the room, the apple fragrance and the starry sky create a very pleasant effect, which brings our body again to its normal temperature.
The solarium and the gym, featuring Step, Bike, Tapis Roulant and a walk-simulator with poles, are always open.
The new Beauty Area, enlarged and renewed this year is va state of the art. Its atmosphere is really cosy, with candles, soft light and a pleasant music. Gloria and Maria, two beauticians of the centre, welcome us and take us to the treatment-room. The treatments were chosen according to our needs and to the advice of the skilled staff. We try the two innovations of this year: doctor Joseph’s tub and the “Zero” bed. The first one consists in an aromatic apple and eglantine steam bath, followed by a massage. The“Zero” bed is a particular water bed combining the benefits of colour therapy with a total massage. We have the impression of lying on the strand of a tropical sea while a warm wave laps on our body. This particular treatment can also be done for pairs, while the romantic turret is entirely devoted to treatments for two, such as the stone therapy.
We were pleased to observe that the hotel is environment-friendly: each floor has got the dustbins for the separate waste collection and the bottle water served in the restaurant comes from Levico Terme.
Curiosity: hats, dishes, stones and different objects coming from all over the world are put up in the hall.
