To start our wellness weekend at the Alpholiday Dolomiti wellness & fun hotel in Dimaro in Val di Sole valley, I allow myself a mini facial treatment which moisturizes, softens and nourishes my skin. The beauty cream and the wrap the beautician puts on my face gives my skin a pleasant feeling of freshness and embraces my body with a delicious blueberry scent. The products of Bioline are based on pure active agents with a strong fruity wild berries smell which helps to cure my skin and to stimulate my senses. While I’m enjoying my facial treatment my better half relaxes in the special new floating tub feeling the regenerating and sensational power of zero gravity and chromo therapy: it wasn’t that easy to get him out of there! The new wellness-area “Aqua Salus Spa & Beauty” though was waiting for us: the 1.000 sqm wellness-area offers a gym, a heated indoor swimming pool and an outdoor swimming pool with under-water massage, a cosy relaxation-area with lounge chairs and fireplace, two whirlpools and a big sauna-area with a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a bio-sauna, heated mosaic bench and tropical showers with chromo therapy as well.
Nonetheless the Alpholiday Dolomiti in Dimaro is more than just a wellness-hotel. In fact it’s a blend of “wellness & fun”: an exclusive and appealing wellness area for special treatments and relaxing moments, and at the same time the ideal destination for a family holiday. When it comes to children the Alpholiday Dolomiti is the prefect choice: special facilities and trained staff will take care of your children in the Mini Club… where children can play together and have fun every day with special entertainment programs focusing mainly on games and shows, drawing, carving and acting. All those activities will entertain your children all day long in order to allow the adults to have a calm and relaxing holiday. Even teenager have their own Junior Club area with videogames, foosball and table tennis. There’s even an irresistible swimming-pool for children with a water-slide and water-toys. Dimaro is the ideal starting point to discover the beautiful Val di Sole valley and the surrounding lands. The road to Madonna di Campiglio and Val Rendena valley starts in Dimaro: the “Casa del Dazio”, the old customs house, is the only thing remaining of the ancient border. The Tonale Pass, on the northwestern border of the Trentino, is just a few kilometres from Dimaro. In summer and in winter you can admire the mountains and unforgettable landscapes.
Located between the nature reserves of the Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta and of the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, this area is perfect for trekking and hiking in the mountains. If you like mountain biking, you will appreciate both the many trails, and the free bike rental of the hotel. Who prefers easy bike tours can cycle on the bicycle route along the Noce stream. The stream offers also many exciting experiences: to get a rush of adrenaline experience extreme sports like rafting, hydro speed, canoeing and climbing… but don't worry: these outdoor activities can be practiced by the whole family too! If instead you prefer enjoying the beautiful landscape with no stress at all, here you are in the right place. Moreover, a few kilometres from Dimaro there is the Golf Club Campo Carlo Magno with an 18 hole golf course, which is one of the oldest and most picturesque in Trentino, in a fir forest at the feet of the famous Brenta Dolomites.
If you feel like going on a trip, then go to the near Spa centre of Rabbi in the Valle di Rabbi valley, where past and present merge together to create a picturesque Alpine landscape, and the Spa centre of Pejo, in a valley where you can still find the marks of a difficult past in the war museum and the Austro-Hungarian cemetery.
In wintertime, the parks and mountains won’t lose their charm and the Hotel Alpholiday Dolomiti takes care of those who want to ski or try some other outdoor activities. Two minibuses take the guests to the near ski lifts of the ski resort Folgarida-Marilleva-Madonna di Campiglio with 120 km of perfectly snow covered slopes. If the slopes are not exciting enough for you, try reaching the Presena Glacier at the Tonale Pass, whereas if you are a cross-country skier you will find many cross-country ski runs in the Val di Sole valley and in its side valleys. Besides a useful ski room, the Hotel Alpholiday Dolomiti has its own ski and snowboard rental with all the necessary equipment to have a lot of fun on snow. And for non-skiers? Winter Nordic walking, romantic walks through the snow-covered landscapes and snowshoeing by day and by night.
