1000 Grobbe Bike - 100 km of the Forts

Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna plateaus | from 17.06.2011 to 19.06.2011

In the weekend from 17th to 19th June competitive sport and entertainment are back on the Folgaria, Lavarone and Luserna Plateaus with the 1000 Grobbe Bike - 100 km of the Forts, the 3rd stage of the Trentino MTB track. This is not only a race, but also an excellent occasion to discover the Trentino Tablelands.

In fact, many Austrian forts and and typical huts can be admired along the track. The program is rich and varied. The event begins on 17th with a 30-km stage from Lavarone to Gionghi, going past the hut Tana Incantata, the fort Forte Belvedere, Masi di Sotto and lake Belvedere. On Sunday 30 km towards Vezzena Pass, the huts Malga Costalta and Malga Laghetto and back to Lavarone - Gionghi. In the afternoon, the Palù park hosts the Mini1000Grobbe Bike for children.

Anyway, the most important event is scheduled for Sunday 20th. The participants can choose between two tracks: the best trained can run the 100 km of the Forts, a 90 km- marathon included in the famous tracks of the Marathon Tour, the Trentino Mtb challenge and of the Supernobili. The alternative is the “classic” 58 km-track.
