Lake of Valagola

The lake of Valagola lies in the Adamello-Brenta Natural Park. Contrary to other lakes, which lies on the western slope of the Val Rendena, the Valagola one lies on the opposite slope, among the Brenta Dolomites. In this group the presence of lake is absolutely unimportant, except for the well-known lake of Tovel. In its waters the Cima Tosa is reflected, one of the most well-known peaks among the mountaineers. The surface of the lake is 13000 square metres, at less than 1600 metres above sea-level.
