Sun and Snow:
double fun with Rosengarten and Latemar
Obereggen and Carezza: two ski resorts open from 28 November 2009 to 11 April 2010
In the heart of the Dolomites, World Heritage Site of UNESCO, between the Catinaccio and Latemar mountains, seven sunny villages constitute the Rosengarten-Latemar tourist resort. Ideal destination for families, sportsmen and nature lovers, this ski area maintains the atmosphere of the old days, combined with unrivaled hospitality, to give you a unique and unforgettable experience. This is because unique and unforgettable is the landscape mountain lovers will enjoy, the landscape of the Rosengarten and Latemar peaks. Imposing and proud by day, at sunset their shades of red stolen from the last rays of the sun will take your breath away.
No less than two ski resorts await winter sports lovers from 28 November 2009 to 11 April 2010. The Carezza Ski and the Obereggen/Ski Center Latemar will guarantee a lot of fun on the snow and in the sun: 86 km ski slopes, 34 lift facilities, 100 km cross-country skiing tracks, 7 sledge slopes, 2 snowboard parks and countless snowshoe trails and winter hiking trails. A favourite destination for snowshoeing lovers is Tires, idyllic village at the foot of the Catinaccio with no ski slopes but rich in safe and well marked hiking routes crossing uncontaminated landscapes.
If this is still not enough for you, during the whole season many interesting events are organized, and in the evenings fun is guaranteed with après-ski, floodlit skiing tracks and floodlit sledge slopes.
Finally, the “Rosengarten-Latemar Alpine Pearls” (Nova Ponente, Nova Levante, Tires and Collepietra), an association bringing together Alpine tourist resorts rich in natural attractions and able to give their visitors a “holiday without car”, offer a wide range of soft mobility transport modes.
