Per le “Perle Alpine” la mobilità dolce ed ecologica inizia dalla porta di casa, perciò l’ospite viene invitato e, soprattutto, messo in grado di gestire arrivo e partenza nonché di spostarsi all’interno della località di villeggiatura e nei dintorni con mezzi alternativi all’automobile, come treno, bus, biciclette elettriche, mountain-bike, cavalli o camminate a piedi.
Il verde dell’attenzione per l’ambiente, si ritrova anche nei boschi e nelle vallate che si estendono in questa parte delle Dolomiti, al centro di due riserve naturali, il parco Corno di Trodena e il parco Sciliar-Catinaccio, che offrono 530 km d’itinerari, dalla facile passeggiata alle escursioni trekking più impegnative, 10 vie ferrate dal secondo al quinto grado di difficoltà ed oltre 50 rifugi e baite per gustose soste all’insegna dei sapori tipici. The first Mountain Bike Region in South Tyrol
What a dream – the panorama, many tours and trails: the holiday region Rosengarten-Latemar offers lots of opportunities, both for beginners and experienced mountainbikers!
Thanks to a pilot project the mountain bike offer in summer 2009 will be even wider: 800 km of trails will be marked and officially signaled. Moreover, new maps and a database will be created, so that anyone will be able to dowload GPS tours.
Beautiful sceneries and fantastic panoramic views await the bikers, who can stay in the “Bikehotels” - hotels for bikers. The hotel-keepers are often mountainbike lovers and qualified instructors. In the low-lying areas, the bike season begins in early April, while at higher altitudes the paths are rideable from the end of May. Paths through the woods lead from 300 to up to 2.200 meters elevation. If you're looking for a challenge, you can try out some of the many single trails with exciting downhill stretches.
Val d’Ega - Nova Ponente, Ega, Obereggen, Monte S. Pietro
An active and quiet holiday: Val d'Ega, including Nova Ponente (1350 m), Ega (1120 m), Obereggen (1550 m) and Monte San Pietro (1380 m), lies in the heart of the fascinating Dolomites and offers 250 km of well-marked trails, three guided hikes, two Nordic Walking courses. This is the ideal destination for families and offers several sport opportunities. Football fields, tennis courts, bowls, minigolf, playgrounds, 18-hole links. Tour in mountainbike or electric bicycle!
Nova Levante- Carezza
At sunset the mountains surrounding Nova Levante, the Rosengarten, provide a wonderful view becoming red. We are in the Laurin’s kingdom. The Rosengarten can be reached on foot or by lifts from Nova Levante. These mountains are a hikers’ and climbers’ paradise, with itineraries of different difficulty level.
In the famous Carezza Forest, which reaches all the way up to the stone face of the Latemar mountains, is to be found the renowned "singing wood", from which violins are made in Venice. This contiguous forest of spruce and fir is among the most splendid and well looked after in the Alps. A must for every guest is without a doubt a quick trip to the Lake Carezza, which with its unique turquoise-blue color fascinates the eye of every observer.
Tires al Catinaccio
This is the ideal destination for a relaxing holiday. Tires has 1.000 residents and is situated on 1020 m at the borders of the 6.796 hectar-wide Sciliar - Catinaccio nature park. The mild climate invites to spend active holidays in the heart of nature. Tiers tourist board organizes several guided tours during the week.
Collepietra
Collepietra, a small mountain village, is situated at 830 m above sea level, on a sunny alpine tableland in the heart of the Dolomites. Collepietra stands out for its nice and pleasant climate in an uncontaminated landscape. Hikers and mountainbikers enjoy in Collepietra lots of paths and itineraries. At San Valentino di Sopra the first and only astronomical observatory in South Tyrol, the planetary path. As for the cultural highlights, the Collepietra museum and the castle in Cornedo all'Isarco deserve to be mentioned.
