The Rogen Natur & Aktiv Hotel lies in SPINGA, a small and picturesque village between two valleys: Val D'Isarco and Val Pusteria, in the province of Bolzano. It is a genuine, welcoming and special place.

"A young peasant housemaid with untidy clothes and loose hair was standing on the church wall and strongly repelled the enemy using her pitchfork…” these words were used by Philipp von Woerndle, the commander of the division of Mules, to describe Caterina Lanz, the heroine of Spinga. There are many legends and popular traditions about her, but it is probable that at that time (approximately in the year 1790), Caterina Lanz really wanted to protect Spinga and defend its church from the French soldiers, with the aim of protecting the Blessed Sacrament from any damage.
Love for tradition and a continuous quest for innovation: these are the elements which make the Hotel Rogen an exclusive place, where you can be yourself and feel totally good at ease, surrounded by a sincere and genuine hospitality.
It offers many kinds of big and tidy rooms, featuring wood furniture and typical Tyrolean fabrics. All of them are equipped with direct phone, television, radio, safe, hair dryer, balcony or veranda. The Almrausch Suite features a corner stove and a wonderful view, and is particularly cosy.
The restaurant offers many irresistible delicacies: rich breakfast with homemade products; tea buffet in the afternoon with homemade cakes and delicious snacks; four-course dinner with menu at your choice, as well as wholemeal and vegetarian dishes prepared by the landlady; rich salad buffet; grilled vegetables and cold hors d’oeuvres. Don’t miss the “Knödelparty” and the woodsmen’s snack, in the family hut in the mountains!
Children too will have fun in the Hotel Rogen: they will find many animals close to hotel, learn how to milk and play in the playroom created for them.
Don’t forget the different wellness treatments! My personal advice: a strengthening thyme and stone-pine bath and a moisturizing apple and eglantine bath according to Dr Joseph’s “Vitalis” method.
These baths offer the real richness offered by the alpine region, uniting tradition with an innovating technology. The Vitalis bath allows to combine heat and/or steam in the same treatment: steam is turned in small molecules, so that it builds a perfect support for Alpine substrates.
