We are at the EXCELSIOR mountain | style | spa | resort in San Vigilio di Marebbe, in a natural depression of the Valle di Marebbe, a dolomitic valley adjacent to the Val Badia, at 1201 m of height, only fifteen driving minutes away from Brunico, in the province of Bolzano. The Hotel is located into the Plan de Corones ski resort: the best ski center in South Tyrol, with 90 Km runs!
The Hotel My Excelsior is a member of the Belvita group and one of the best wellness hotels in South Tyrol and it is run by the friendly family of Tamara and Werner Call. It is painstaking in all details, has been recently renewed and is really unique and exclusive.

I am immediately charmed by the kingdom of precious stones in the Castello: peeling with pure hand-selected and finely pulverized red rubies with eglantine and palisander fragrance, relaxing massage with precious oils and ennobled seeds, fresh water pearl bath in the panoramic tub with breathtaking view on the Dolomites, cuddled with Champagne and delicate chocolates, body compress with cream made of white pearls, coconut milk, honey and avocado and finally relax in the comfortable Swiss stone pine “stube” with double waterbed.
On the following day, I let myself be tempted by the Alpine healthcare products, the quintessence from the heart of Dolomites. This quality label aims at joining together many centuries of alpine tradition and knowledge in selecting local typical plants, products and natural methods, in order to create a personalized wellness package.
I enter the sauna world, featuring a tepidarium, a Finnish sauna, aromatic sauna, herbal steam bath, poacher sauna in the larch cottage, saline inhalation cave, Kneipp basins, different kinds of showers. The panoramic swimming pool (30°) with whirlpool water jets, whirl-bench and water mushroom, children pool with game corner and indoor and outdoor whirlpool (34°) is very beautiful.
Moreover Fitness center and panoramic gym Fit & Fun, Fit & Vital daily program with acqua gym, Pilates, Qui Gong and much more!

In the evening we let ourselves be cuddled in the Tyrolean stube by the Chef de Cuisine Rino de Candido, one of the hundred best cooks in Italy, who is able to blend the most genuine flavors of the ladin and rural South-Tyrolean tradition with Mediterranean recipes and the most refined dishes of the international cuisine. The food served is excellent, as well as the wines recommended by the sommelière Irene.We let ourselves be surprised by the rich vital-buffet breakfast with natural products and by the tasty wellness buffet, with salads and appetizing snacks.

The rooms won’t disappoint you: my favourite ones are the 40 m2 – large Deluxe “Lavarella”! In furnishing them, the Call family was inspired by the Crystal, Rubin, Aquamarin e Smaragd gems! Thanks to the precious materials, the plasma tv, the forniture in larch and Swiss-stone pine, the delicate tissues, the colors which remind those of the different stones and the wide spaces these rooms are real jewels!

Children will enjoy the playing world with climbing tower, slides and video games, as well as numerous services tailored for children, inside and outside the hotel.
