Dolce Vita Hotel… Wellness in South Tyrol!
This time I take you to Val Venosta, a wonderful valley stretching from the Alpine peaks of the Resia Pass to Merano, in the Stelvio National Park. We are in Naturno, a charming hamlet where the sun shines 315 days a year… the least rainy village of the Eastern Alps!
Away from the frenzy of everyday life, amongst orchards and vineyards, completely exposed to the sun, you will find the Vacanza Romantica Resort by Preidlhof, one of the Dolce Vita hotels located in a scenic position overlooking the valley, only a 10 minute walk from the center of Naturno. Mrs. Ladurner welcomes us and leads us to our room, the “Orchidee”, with a charming balcony facing south, from where you can quietly sunbathe and admire a panoramic view of the valley.
The Vacanza Romantica Resort by Preidlhof is perfect for couples: in this romantic hotel you can in fact enjoy many relaxing moments together with your partner. The rooms and suites are furnished with a lot of romantic details: satin bed linen, four-poster bed, basket with aromatic massage oils and bath pearls. You should definitely try the Private Spa-Suite, a section of the wellness center for couples only, where you can relax and enjoy pleasant beauty treatments.
We have an appointment to visit the Wellness and Relaxation center. It’s a 2000 sq m Spa located in a scenic position overlooking the valley and including: outdoor heated swimming pool open the whole year round and natural rock swimming pool; a true fitness temple, well equipped also for cardio-fitness training; the sun pavilion, a solarium with beds, water mattresses and relaxing cushions stuffed with Alpine herbs and propolis; the blue crystal grotto with waterfall; the meditation pavilion, where cypresses and an ancient olive tree create the perfect environment and help you relax and concentrate; the “Schwarzbrenner-Sauna”, an open-air sauna similar to an old country distillery, with scented steam coming out from the antique water heater made of copper, and the marble and wood walls creating an atmosphere of old times… I never saw anything like that; and to refresh yourself, you can take a dive into the swimming pool or in the whirlpool, and enjoy the wonderful view.
The place looks and feels like a Roman temple: here time truly stops and you have the chance to enjoy wonderful moments of relaxation.
There’s more… 8 types of saunas, all with different temperatures and scented steam (citronella, rosemary, sage…). There is also a therapeutic infrared sauna, that improves circulation and helps eliminating toxins. The “tropical garden” is a 230 sq m water world where you can relax surrounded by a Mediterranean atmosphere: palm trees, lemon trees, even programmed “tropical rains” to entertain your children. Spring water comes out from the fountain: this isn’t simply a wellness center, this is a true spa.
At the Hotel Preidlhof you’ll never get bored, and at the end of your holiday you will reluctantly head home, knowing what you are leaving behind: saunas with different temperatures, many types of relax areas, swimming pools, gym, yoga lessons: there are treatments and activities to suit all tastes. There is also room for a lot of outdoor activities, since Naturno is a true paradise for trekkers: you have at your disposal the Waalwege, high altitude paths winding along the old irrigation channels, the haute route of Merano, the trails exploring the nature reserve, farm tours, guided nature tours… unforgettable experiences!
You can use up all your energy during the day and then enjoy an abundant breakfast buffet with organic products, foods containing a lot of vitamins, fresh fruits, fruit juices, fruit shakes, bread, jams, eggs, desserts… and in summer you can have your breakfast on the panoramic terrace with view on the valley, breathing in deeply the crisp, clean air.
Start your day sipping at your coffee on the Roses Terrace, a quiet place beside the water lily pond and the water spring, surrounded by roses and wonderful colors!
In the evening you can enjoy a 7 courses Gourmet Menu and a rich variety of starters. If you are on a diet, you can ask for a Vital Menu or for a Wellness Menu: light yet tasty meals, each with its total calories count. Moreover, once a week you will be tempted with a themed dinner.
On Saturday night enjoy the pleasant company of the Ladurner family, sipping together at your aperitifs or visiting their cellar carved into the rock, where you have the chance to taste their excellent wines.
