The Val di Fiemme extends for 36 km in the North-Eastern part of Trentino, along the river Avisio and is crowned with majestic mountain ranges, such as the Latemar, Pale di San Martino, the Lagorai chain and Mt. Corno. The Val di Fiemme includes 11 municipalities: Predazzo, Ziano di Fiemme, Panchià, Tesero, Cavalese, Varena, Daiano, Carano, Castello-Molina di Fiemme, Valfloriana and Capriana.
In winter the Val di Fiemme boasts many ski runs and lifts: Alpe Cermìs, Ski Center Latemar, Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia, Passo Rolle and Passo Lavazè-Oclini with 100 km of slopes and 50 ski lifts in all. The cross-country trails at Passo Lavazè, Lago di Tesero and Bellamonte have become very famous thanks to relevant highlights such as the Marcialonga and the World Cross-Country Championships that take place here for the third time in 2013. In summer this valley is a paradise for the lovers of open-air sports: you find many trekking itineraries, a 25-km-long cycle path that crosses the whole valley, as well as nice mountain bike trails. In Val di Fiemme there are some practice walls in Cavalese, Predazzo, Stava and at the Alpe di Pampeago. Do not miss the funny adventure parks featuring courses with different difficulty levels in Ziano di Fiemme, Molina di Fiemme and Masi di Cavalese. The stream Avisio is the right scenery to go in for rafting, hydrospeed e canyoning, guided by experienced instructors.
