
Description
The Refuge Passo Duran “C. Tomè” is located on the pass bearing the same name, at over 1600 m of height, at the northern limit of the Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park.
Due to its location, it is an ideal starting point for different hikes to the imposing surrounding peaks (Civetta, Moiazza, S. Sebastiano, Tamer) as well as for unforgettable vie ferrate and climbs, especially on the Moiazza. Furthermore, it is a leg of the High route n. 1.
The refuge can be comfortably reached from Agordo (12 km). It is open in summer and offers bedrooms and dormitories with bathrooms and hot-water showers, featuring 30 beds on the whole. In winter it can be booked by ski mountaineers, for unforgettable tours at high altitude.
The famous alpine guide Soro Dorotei, managing the refuge, is at the guests’ disposal to give precious advice and assistance in sport activities.
