Route
From Passo Fedaia descend eastward along the rocks. You get to the foot of Lastìa di Serauta, where a big red "F" signs the departure point of this safeguarded climb. Following the ropes, you climb an imposing wall up to a deep gorge – very difficult ascent. The view here is no less than magnificent! Now, you have to tackle a series of demanding ups and downs at a high altitude (Punta Serauta, 2945 m). Be extra-careful, as the passages are very difficult and there are often patches of frozen snow. The last part of the route is equipped with metal fixings of the Great War period and unwinds also along communication trenches built by Italian Alpini in 1916/17.The most expert can descend directly to Passo Fedaia through the glacier in the eastern basin. Alternatively, you can return by cablecar (but be careful not to miss the last journey of the day).
