Cross-country skiing in Cortina

Cortina d’Ampezzo, the world-wide famous ski resort, is the right place to practice all kinds of winter sports like Alpine skiing, ice hockey, bobsleigh, and of course cross-country skiing. Fiames has a center with trails of all levels, always perfectly snow-covered and included in the Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites.

The Fiames Sport Nordic Center is a well equipped facility with a network of trails for a total of 78 km. Cross-country skiing lovers have at their disposal state of the art equipments and a professional staff always ready to suggest them the most suitable trails and equipments. There is also a wide solarium terrace right at the beginning of the trails, especially designed for all those who, after having skied for a few hours, decide to take a well deserved break.

The range of trails offered by this center goes from the easy practice trails and the ex-runway, suitable for beginners, to the ups and downs of trails like Pian de Ra Spines and Pian de Loa in the wonderful forests of the Natural Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites, trails suitable for those looking for longer and more technical runs.

Pro skiers and experts find a perfect ground to put themselves to the test, train and hone their technique on the technical curves, ups and downs of the 4 circuits (2, 3, 5 and 7.5 km) of the competition trail 3G, with a wonderful view at the foot of the Pomagagnon Mountain. On the Tre Croci Pass there are some of the most difficult trails of the area, running alongside the road taking to the Misurina Lake, through forests hiding forts of the First World War.
