Cross-country skiing in Alpago - Cansiglio

Alpago valley, which consists of the river Tesa and its tributaries basin, is rich in little villages scattered on the sweet slopes in front of the Santa Croce Lake. At the edges of the valley there is the Cansiglio, which, in winter, becomes a well equipped sport centre with lifts and cross-country tracks. You can say Cansiglio is cross-country ski homeland, with about 40 kilometres of tracks which winds over one of the most beautiful woods in Italy.
